Fall Quarter 2016

The ongoing education and sanctification of the Christian is a joyful burden we bear here at Bellevue. Ours is the call to “present everyone mature in Christ” (Colossians 1:28). Therefore we strive to have high quality, Bible-centered Adult Sunday School classes to offer every quarter which lasts for three months at a time. They start the first Sunday of September, December, March and June. The amount of classes we offer, the topics, who is teaching and the format will change but each class will strive to learn what scripture is teaching. You can join any class at any point during the quarter. Generally classes meet in the large Fellowship Hall downstairs but occasionally a class will meet in the church library.

Our Adult Education courses meet during the Christian Education hour, from 9:30am to 10:30am every Sunday. This quarter’s Adult Education Class Offerings are as follows:

Biblical Manhood and Womanhood

Teachers: The Elders of Bellevue

This September we embark together as a church on a study of Biblical Manhood and Womanhood. For the four Sundays in September we will be looking at four sermons on the topic and in Adult Sunday School addressing the study together as well. We are encouraging every person at Bellevue to be a part of this study. We are simply asking you to study it with us.

The four classes will be taught by your Elders and will be comprised of a time of teaching as well as time for discussion and questions. It is our great desire to allow lots of time for any questions or concerns that you might have as we study this topic together. Please pray for your Elders as they prepare these classes and pray for our church, that we would be open to diligently studying God’s Word.

The Letter of James

Teachers: Paul Allison and Alex Melson
Begins Sunday, October 2, 2016

Did you know that Jesus had a brother? His name was James. He was the leader of the church in Jerusalem for a time and he wrote a letter to be distributed to Christians far and wide. A letter intended to strengthen them in their faith and life. Join us for nine weeks as we unpack that powerful letter together, that letter intent on making us “doers of the word, and not hearers only” (1:22).

Spiritual  Warfare and the Armor of God

Teacher: Paul Burns

In this class we will be looking at the topic of Spiritual Warfare and how we are to fight according to Ephesians 6. The armor of God found in Ephesians has been a great encouragement to Christians throughout the centuries. Join us for 9 weeks as we look at how it can help us deal with the spiritual warfare we are involved in today.
